As word about eucalyptus oil spread, people began to use it in other ways. They used it as a liniment (lotion or cream) for tired, sore muscles. They even used it to ease arthritis pain. Though the essential oil is still recommended today for many other treatments, it's mainly used to treat coughs, colds, and bronchitis.
